PRESS: Russia’s USC to allot 5 bln rbl for leasing expansion

MOSCOW, Dec 23 (PRIME) -- Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) plans to allocate 5 billion rubles for expanding its leasing program, CEO Alexei Rakhmanov said in an interview with Kommersant business daily released on Friday.

“There are two main instruments which we will base on a policy on increasing the Russian market of civil vessels. The first one is expansion of own leasing program. A decree of the Russian president has been already issued and a work to transfer shares of Goznak-Leasing to USC is going on. This year we have received 5 billion rubles as a contribution to USC charter capital,” he said.

As a result, the company will be able to offer clients leasing at 2.5% in rubles.

“Under our calculations, with annual contributions to the charter capital of 3.5 billion rubles during 10 years civil vessels worth 130 billion rubles will be built by 2028,” Rakhmanov said.

He also said the corporation expected a net profit of 9–10 billion rubles and revenue of 347–350 billion rubles in 2016.
